3,800 is the estimated amount of annual savings that will be made by the Service Public de Wallonie following its renovation and compliance work on one of its office buildings in Jambes (Namur).
The objective of the mission: The complete renovation of the building’s boiler room and the compliance of the installations.
The replacement of the 4 existing atmospheric boilers by 2 condensing gas boilers will allow a potential of 3.800€ of savings per year, i.e. 25% of the gas consumption.
The role of Teenconsulting
The Teenconsulting team carried out a complete study of this building following a public tender :
The design and choice of material are extremely important to achieve the objective. This stage ensures, through design, sizing, specification and monitoring of the work, an optimal end result.
How are such annual savings possible?
This significant gain is due – among other things – to the difference in efficiency between atmospheric and condensing boilers and to the efficient regulation of the installations, but also to the energy-efficient design of the new equipment.
These will allow a potential saving of 95,000 kWh/year, i.e. 25% of the previous consumption or, more concretely, 3,800 € per year.
