What is the Smart City ?

The concept of this project is to make our cities smart and sustainable in Wallonia.

The topics covered are the implementation of “Smart City” projects, the interest in participating in this project, the services offered, and the financing available to municipalities.

During this exhibition, actors and experts from the public and private sectors will answer questions asked by the public authorities on the interest of joining this project.

You will be able to discover an Energy and Environment thematic trail, including the stand that we are sharing with our partner Energis, by signing up for one of the two visits supervised by Digital Wallonia staff for a maximum of 30 minutes, either at 12:30 or at 15:15.

As a player in the energy transition, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation recently launched a public contract for the implementation of an intelligent energy management platform (energy accounting), which was won by Teenconsulting and Energis. Mr Christophe Madam, head of the Energy Unit at the Ministry of the Walloon Federation in Brussels, will present with other speakers from 14.30 to 15.15 in the Conference Room at Palais 2, concrete actions for the application of smart tools and the many advantages of energy accounting. He will also detail the public procurement process aimed at a win-win partnership allowing schools to join a central purchasing unit of the Energy Unit.

We welcome you at stand 52, together with our partner Energis, with whom we recently won the contract with the Walloon Federation of Brussels for the energy management of all its 3,500 buildings (school and non-school), to give you more details on this energy efficiency project but also on other projects involving municipalities and public bodies (swimming pools, offices, etc.) or simply to answer your questions.
